Fish and seafood production: The wastewater from these industries obtained in the process of cleaning of the incoming products and bone extraction has a high chemical oxygen demand (COD) due to the high content of organic materials, solids, oils and fats, in some cases accompanied by a high level of nitrogen. When processing seafood, process water may be seawater, leading to high concentrations of chloride, sulfate and sodium. To avoid salinity problems, certain components or all equipment may be made of stainless steel. Our equipment can be used in the treatment of water formed in fish and seafood processing plants, canning factories and more.

Rotary Screens

The Defender® rotary screens are designed to remove solids transported by the water which must be treated so it can be avoided the obstruction and mechanical problems in the aftercoming equipment. These devices are self-cleaning, automatic propelled and they filter the wastewater through a filtration drum made of a grid or perforated mesh with different apertures of 3.0 to 0.15 mm depending on the type and amount of solids. Their installation in wastewater treatment plants of settlements can allow the replacement of primary sedimentation tanks, ensuring the elimination of coarse sands and up to 30% of the fats. The offered equipment is easy to operate due to the fact that the treatment stream enters through a flange located on the outside of the drum and is distributed evenly by an overflow over the drum filter. The solids are retained on the surface of the drum as it rotates and the inflow water passing the drum in both upper and bottom sides performs as cleaning function. When passing through the external scraper, the solids are separated from the net and fall off by gravity. The Defender rotary screens are divided into several models depending on the diameter of the filter drum and the flow rate:

Flotator

Anaconda® flotators are highly efficient (up to 99%) systems for physico-chemical removal of undissolved substances from wastewater. The purification of pollutants here takes place through a combination of several processes: coagulation, by adding the appropriate chemicals are formed the so-called "flocs" (aggregated parts of pollution), flotation in which, under the influence of dissolved air the already formed flocs "float" which leads to their removal from the surface scraper and precipitation of larger and heavier particles, which are subsequently removed from the bottom assisted by a lamellar system. The operation of the offered equipment is fully automated and easy to control through a PLC control module equipped with a touch screen, in addition to which it is equipped with emergency shutdown and security systems, pneumatic control circuit and air injection.

Automatic filter press

The automatic filter press is the most advanced model in the Draco® range, which performs the full cycle of sludge dewatering automatically.
