Sodium hydroxide

Sodium hydroxide (also known as caustic soda, sodium hydroxide or lye) is a solid, hygroscopic white substance. This strong base (pH = 14 at c = 1 mol / l) dissolves slightly in water with heat-releasing, also reacts easily with carbon dioxide in the air, and is therefore stored in hermetically sealed containers to avoid contact with air or moisture. Sodium base is used in large quantities in many industries - cellulose and paper, soap and cleaning agents, chemicals (sodium hypochlorite, sodium phosphate, sodium sulfite, sodium chloride). In the process of water purification it is used successfully in correction where the pH value of raw water is lower than the permissible levels.

Sodium base is available in liquid and solid form with the following concentrations:

Liquid, solution, 27%, 48%

Dry, flakes, 99%

Sulfuric acid

The proposed technical sulfuric acid (96%) is one of the strongest acids and is very corrosive, it is a colourless (brownish), oily, very viscous and hygroscopic liquid with different concentrations. It is suitable for use due to its low influence of ambient temperatures. In the process of water purification, it is used successfully in correction […]

Hydrochloric acid

Hydrochloric acid is a strong inorganic acid, the salts of which are called chlorides, the most famous being sodium chloride (NaCl) (table salt). The acid is widely used in the chemical industry, mining and metallurgy. In the process of water purification, it is used successfully in correction where the pH value of raw water exceeds […]
