Ferrous sulphate

No ACF gallery field data found

Ferrous sulphate is a coagulant with an active substance based on trivalent iron. The product is widely used for efficient treatment of domestic and industrial water due to its stability compared to other iron salts, its lower corrosivity compared to other similar chemicals (eg ferric chloride) and the fact that it does not require special measures during storage.
Other advantages of the product that should be emphasized are the fact that through its dosing it is possible to adjust the degree of load on the biological stage of the purification process (to reduce downtime - to increase the capacity of the installation), as well as excellent quantitative and quality parameters (low content of phosphorus, organic substances, sulfides, etc.) of the formed sludge, which allows to increase the capacity for dewatering of sludge. The use of ferrous sulfate reduces the consumption of poly electrolytes (20-25%) and the amount of air required for aeration in the biological stage, which leads to a reduction in the consumption of chemicals and energy in the biological stage of purification.
